Ace was born only minutes after his twin, Adina, although he often refers to her as his ‘little sister’. The twins never really knew their parents, after they perished while they were still young. They never did learn the details of their parents death, as they were far too young to remember, and their Aunt, who became their legal guardian, simply refused to tell them the story. In fact, their Aunt was refused to do a lot for them, and was less of an Aunt to them, and more of a jailer. That’s why, Ace convinced Adina that they must sneak out, and one night, after slipping sleeping pills into their Aunt’s tea, they escaped. They were careful to avoid getting caught by any authorities, for they’d rather be fending on the streets on their own, than separated in a shelter or trapped again by the cruel crone that was their Aunt. On their own, Ace was able to experiment with everything and anything he desired. A very curious child, while his sister worked and performed labour, Ace was developing his talents. They each had their own way to make money, and for Ace, he discovered a remarkable musical talent, and was able put together his own instruments out of odds and ends he could find around the city. He began busking, and was such a charmer that he was often the one sent to lower to buy food for the pair, as he was excellent at sweet talking the price of anything down. Eventually, the pair saved enough that they were able to escape to France, where they were out of the reach of the authorities that could turn them back into their Aunt.
Despite not attending school, the twins were always very intelligent, although in different ways. While his sister would read and study books, Ace went out and gathering many real world experiences with his new friends. In every way that Adina was smart, Ace was creative. And where Adina put in hard work, Ace dreamed. The twins’ intelligence however, didn’t stop Ace from getting into trouble. While Adina worked, Ace would often spend the days with others his age, experiencing the world around him. But Ace didn’t have any role models or real teachers in his life, so when he was offered “a line”, he accepted. He trusted his friends, and had no reason to expect that it was bad. This was the beginning of a dark path for Ace. He became addicted, but the twins didn’t have enough money to support his addiction, so he was constantly pawning off his friends, which drove them away. His constant on and off made Ace dangerous at home with Adina, and one day, Adina left. She couldn’t stand to be with Ace in the state he was in. She left, but she wasn’t gone for long. She could never truly leave her brother. So after a few days, Adina returned, and the threat of loosing his sister, as well as her keeping him under lockdown was enough to end that dark part of his life. But the addiction lingers in him still.
It was only by chance that the twins ended up coming to TEI, for they were doing presentations in different cities across the world. Ace happened upon upon a flyer and brought it home to Adina. He knew they’d never be able to afford to go to the school, but he hoped that something like the thought of university would lighten Adina up, give her something to dream about. And after some sweet-talking, it did. Adina had a dream. For at least one night. They went to a presentation the school was doing and filled out applications. It was almost a miracle when they received their acceptance letters, offered a spot at the next fall semester on a full scholarship. The twins would remain together again, and they was yet another experience to be had, another world to explore. And Ace plans to experience all of it.
Adina Wood: Adina is Ace’s twin sister. She’s older than Ace, but only by minutes. The two twins have been through everything together. They bicker and fight, as siblings do, but they care more about each other than anyone else. Adina is the level headed, practical one. She’s a hard worker, and always had a plan. Ace is the dreamer, the adventurer, and he often tries to bring Adina happiness, to give her a break from her routine, and give her a chance to dream.
Orlando Stars: Orlando and Ace are well on their way to becoming best friends. Initially, they bonded over their mutual passion for music, but the more the boys talked, the more they discovered they had in common. They both are people who want to experience the world, and they both seem to have their heads in the clouds.
Zayne White: Zayne is dangerous for Ace. Ace has a bad history with drugs, saved only by his sister. He never wants to risk loosing her again, and Zayne is that risk. Ace is fond of Zayne, and he enjoys spending time with the White brothers. But Zayne is an addict. And Ace can’t allow himself to be dragged back into that. It’s too tempting. Ace has been avoiding Zayne ever since he discovered that Zayne was a user, but he’s bound to run into Zayne eventually.
